Rick Gold

Dr. Gold is a California Licensed Acupuncturist. He graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1978 and simultaneously graduated from the California Acupuncture College in 1983 earning a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Humanistic Studies in San Diego. Dr. Gold is a co-founder and board member of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego. Dr. Gold is past President and current Chairman of the Board of the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) also located in San Diego.

Dr. Gold frequently travels to Asia for advanced studies of Chinese Medicine and traditional Oriental body therapies. He is one of the earliest pioneers of Thai Massage therapy in the United States and currently represents expertise in Thai Massage as a National Advisory Board Member of the American Organization of Body Therapies of Asia (AOBTA). Dr. Gold has written books on Thai massage and is considered an authority in the field.

In his private practice, Dr. Gold is a General Practitioner, successfully treating a wide variety of health complaints. He specializes in treatment for pain, digestive problems and stress-related disorders among other conditions. Dr. Gold has a reputation for excellence in alternative health care and is a highly sought after Practitioner, often with a waiting list for months. His unique approach to healing pairs both his Psychology background with Chinese Medicine and has made him a very successful Practitioner with a very satisfied and dedicated patient base. Rick has been in practice for over 20 years as a licensed Acupuncturist.
